new version of semagic released {1.7.0.9} [Public]
Semagic version 1.7.0.9 is out. Posting to Xanga has been fixed, as well as links for LJ Scrapbook and spaces when pasting HTML from Firefox. Also, tags are enabled for Insanejournal.com and any other site after opening an entry with tags in the history window.

Download it here (for Windows 2000/XP/Vista) or here (for Windows 95/98/ME).

Save the file somewhere on your computer (your Windows desktop is a good place), and then double-click the file to install it. (If you're already running Semagic on your computer, make sure you close Semagic down completely before installing the new version!)

If you have problems or questions, this is NOT the correct place to request help!!! I will try to help you if I can, but I am in no way affiliated with the Semagic software nor its developers. Please direct bug reports, usage questions, feature requests, etc. to them in either their official community (preferred), or their Sourceforge page.

I am so happy that there's an update! I love Semagic and always look forward to the new versions ... I was beginning to think the project had been abandoned for some reason ... the official community hasn't been updated in over a year!

Как правильно просношать Semagic и Drupal для использования клиента как средства подготовки и отправки материалов на сайт?

Друпал позволяет использовать BlogAPI. Поддерживает ли Семажик этот протокол полностью?

Еще очень хочется, чтобы Семажик при этом отправлял материалы в упрощенном виде, т.е. без использования тегов P, BR, а только, скажем, IMG и А.

Nope, the links weren't working. Sourceforge must have made some changes. Hopefully the official Semagic folks update their links. In the meantime, I tracked down the proper links. I've updated this entry to reflect that. Thanks! :)

They sound fine in theory, but in practice - it just does not work. Getting LINKS is not the only concern.

It appears that vox.com is using the Atom Publishing Protocol. However, the current version of semagic (1.7.0.9U) is unable to communicate with it. Do you have plans to assure interop with vox.com? Do you perhaps need help with this?

At loading the program there is a message-

Then the program is closed and the following page opens

Has changed the program for last version, but the problem has not disappeared
What to do?

In this version the user pictures aren't showing up in the client.

Also, just a suggestion - it would be nice to have an option, perhaps, to have the friends entries open in a new window or new tab (for the IE7)

I just notified them of the metadata bug that has locked many of us out of posting to multiple journals. That darn adult content setting - none of the settings seem to work.
